Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information The Crypto Closet ("we", "us") collects when you visit thecryptocloset.store or buy from us, why we use it, who we share it with and what your rights are. We are the data controller for this information.
1. What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, phone number (optional), shipping and billing address, the products you order and your order history.
- Payment: payments are processed by Shopify Payments and other payment providers shown at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login email and saved addresses.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through the contact form, and Coin Lab requests (coin name, logo files and design notes).
- Browsing data: device and browser type, IP address, approximate location (country and city), pages viewed and how you arrived at the site. This is collected with cookies and similar technologies.
2. Why we use it
- To make and deliver your order, send order and shipping updates, and handle returns and refunds (to perform our contract with you).
- To answer your questions and give customer support.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure (our legitimate interest).
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, using statistics (our legitimate interest, or your consent where required).
- To send you news and offers by email, only if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
3. Who we share it with
We only share what each partner needs to do their job:
- Shopify, which hosts our store, checkout and customer data.
- Printful, our print-on-demand partner, which receives your name, shipping address, phone number (if given) and the products ordered so it can print and ship your items. Printful has facilities in the EU, the UK and the US.
- Shipping carriers (for example DHL, UPS, USPS, Royal Mail or local postal services), which receive your delivery details.
- Payment providers, which process your payment.
- CoinGecko, which provides the live crypto prices shown on the site. Your browser requests the prices directly, so CoinGecko receives your IP address. It does not receive your name or order details.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
We use cookies that are needed for the cart and checkout to work, and, with your consent where required, cookies for statistics. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies in the cookie banner and delete cookies in your browser settings. More details: Shopify cookie policy.
5. International transfers
Some partners, including Shopify and Printful, may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example in Canada or the United States). These transfers are protected by adequacy decisions or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually 10 years in Italy). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Support messages are kept for up to 2 years.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct it or delete it;
- limit or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you gave.
Email thecryptocloset2022@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
8. Children
Our store is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
